Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2

Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2

The Hobby King 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx has to be about the cheapest transmitter / receiver combination out there. At $22.99 plus shipping from China, it is quite a bargain. What’s more, it works! I am using it now with my FH-X46 quadcopter. I haven’t been able to find a lot of documentation on the product and wanted to share what I have learned. Here are some of the mods and features I will be covering in a series of blog posts:

  1. I love this Tx. Great for modding. So far I have replaced serial cable with Bluetooth link (can adjust settings with my android phone) and swapped Ch5 potentiometer for 6 pos switch for flight mode selection. LiPo battery next.

  2. Hi Britt,
Your site is a goldmine full of great tips!
Would you know how to set the Tx up so that I can assign one toggle switch (not the potentiometer) to toggle the KK2.0 stabilization mode?
    Many Thanks in advance,

  3. Hey,

Did you end up doing a post on how to connect the receiver up to a flight control board?

It’d be a good post as a lot of people buy that transmitter.

    Cheers

    Will

    • Thanks for the suggestion. I haven’t done one like that, but it is pretty easy once you figure out which of the connectors on the receiver are for positive, ground and signal, which channels go where and how to reverse them in the software.
