Quadcopters put on an amazing light show during the opening ceremonies at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. The guys who engineered the quadcopters are Alex Kushleyev and Daniel Mellinger. They have recently started a company called KMel Robotics. Interestingly, they are graduates of the University of Pennsylvania which showed up in many earlier posts here. It looks like their research has really paid off!

All I could think of was, “What if a quad gets out of control and spirals into the audience or creates a quad crash domino effect?”. These guys obviously engineer their quads to a lot higher standard than I do.
